Thank you everyone for your part
in making the 1st Annual “Ride For
A Cure” on June 27th such a
success!

The day started out a little rainy,
but we didn’t let it dampen our
spirits! Approximately 100
motorcycles participated in the 95
mile ride and close to 200 people
were served a pork chop supper at
Robbin’s Island Park in Willmar.

Matching funds were also available
through
Thrivent Financial, to bring
the total to over
$7,500.00 of funds
raised for the local
American
Cancer Society. This is very
exciting for a first year event!

Many local cancer patients will
benefit from these funds. “The
American Cancer Society offers a
variety of programs and services
designed to meet the unique needs
and concerns of those affected by
cancer and their caregivers.”

On July 23rd 2004, I was one of
many cancer survivors participating
in the Survivors Walk at the “
Relay
For Life” event in Willmar at the
Hodapp Field. This event is to
“celebrate survivorship, remember
those who lost their lives to cancer,
and raise money for the fight
against cancer.”

I look forward to the 2nd Annual
Ride For A Cure, June 26th, 2005,
and I hope that you will consider
participating again next year to
help make this event another
success!
